How it works

One ZIP code, and the list keeps coming. No software to learn.

  1. Type your ZIP code

Your area is every ZIP that starts with the same three digits: usually your metro or a good part of it.

  2. We read the federal list

The FMCSA Company Census File, updated daily. We keep firms near you with 2 to 100 trucks and a phone on file, and drop the mail-drop addresses.

  3. Every Monday, the new ones

An email with the new firms near you: truck count, phone and a short opener. Plus five established local fleets to try.

What you get

A short list you can work through between jobs. You make the call; we find who to call.

The Monday list

Every Monday morning: the trucking firms registered near you since last week, newest first, with truck count, city, phone and the date they were added.

What to say

A three-line opener for each firm, using its name, its truck count and what your shop does. It never claims they need a shop: that's what the call finds out.

Not just trucking companies

The list also holds local businesses that run their own trucks: delivery, construction, landscaping and service firms. Each Monday brings five established fleets of 5 to 50 trucks to try.

Called, interested, won

Mark each firm as you go, so you know who you've called and who said yes. Your marks stay put from week to week.

One plan, for shops

Sold to repair shops and other businesses only.

Questions

Where do these companies come from?

From the federal Company Census File. Companies running commercial trucks across state lines, and many others, must register. We read it, keep the ones near you and sort them newest first.

Do they need a repair shop?

We don't know, and we won't say so. They're new or nearby and they run trucks. Whether they need you is what the call is for.

What area does it cover?

Your ZIP code's area: every ZIP that starts with the same three digits, usually your metro or a good part of it.

Are they all real trucking firms?

It's the address and truck count they gave the government. Some use a home or a mail-drop address. We remove the obvious ones, and a few can still slip through.

Do you show owners' names?

No. We show the company, the city, the truck count and the business phone on file.

Can you call them for me?

No. You make the call or stop by, and we give you a short opener. Call during business hours, and don't send bulk texts.

How much is it?

$39 a month. The first 7 days are free and no card is needed. Cancel any time. It's sold to businesses only.

Where the list comes from. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's Company Census File, public data on data.transportation.gov, updated daily. Around Columbus, Ohio alone it lists 4,829 active companies with at least one truck (Oct 31, 2026), and 26,607 new registrations came in nationwide between Sep 1 and Oct 30, 2026. Rigscout isn't a government service.
